Curatorial Work & Projects
To best facilitate the creation, growth, care, and accessibility of "sacred spaces," I have focused my studies on curatorial work. Here are some key selections of some of the work I have done.

Exhibit Development Course Project
In our Exhibit Planning and Design course, we developed text for a theoretical exhibit, and each of us used our text to practice designing an exhibit panel. This was the first draft of a panel I ever developed, which helped me learn to make much better panels in the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site exhibit. I hand-drew the squiggly lines around some of the text to match the pattern style of the Freeman print to create a greater sense of cohesion.

The exhibit, “Unconventional: Three Civic Leaders During the Harrison Era," is about Frederick Douglass, May Wright Sewall, and Andrew Carnegie. It encourages visitors to engage in a civic community, one does not necessarily need to pursue politics. I was in charge of all research, all loans, selecting collection objects, all images, all text, exhibit design & graphics, exhibit layout, and exhibit installation. Bi-weekly, I would meet with my mentor, the VP of Curatorship, and the site's executive, Charlie Hyde, to report on my work and make necessary changes. The exhibit was placed in the Welcome Center, and garnered several newspaper articles and one TV show segment via local news, WISH-TV.
